[Unattended] Installation of WinXP fails after reboot

Hello,

doing the network installation (copying the files from the share to the
drive) works well. Then the first reboot appears and the WinXP installer
loads. After it has been loaded, the screen goes black and some seconds
later the blue screen appears saying that I should do a chkdisk /F.
What's going wrong? I already tried to load the bootini.bat before the first
reboot which hasn't changed anything. Any ideas, please?

Thx in advance!
Kind regards,

Hi

probably the sata drivers are missing and the drive in sata mode. you
need the textmode driver files, too.

hi!

in the $OEM$ directory (I386/$OEM$/textmode), put the textmode files
there (download it from the manufacturer). if you are good in it, you
can merge many textmode driver into this directory and it will work
fine with different controllers. :) good luck (read a bit more aboout
it, use google. really, you need this info)

it would be nice to have a tool/info o integrate.

I think that we can ship at leats the intel ones, as they are very common.

Hi!

I have read about it somewhere on the web, but still I haven't got the
patience enough for it. I think a good start would be to create a
setup image with nlite integrated with a couple of sata drivers. and
have a look on it :) never checked, but maybe it does the same in a
way.

OK, the part with the textmode drivers works well but the install script
asks me which drivers to include. How can I skip this section by simply
adding all of these drivers? (like oem_pnp_drivers)

Hello,

i would suggest you search the list archive for driverpacks.net.
the integration of the driverpacks deals with all your driver issues and you have a central tool for updating your drivers.

Best regards
