[Unattended] Windows Live Messenger

Hello list,

I was wondering if anyone has a good recipe for obtaining and installing
windows live messenger through wpkg.
I've followed a few tutorials regarding the extraction of the msi files
from an existing install, since there's only a web installer available,
that i know of, but it hasn't worked. MSIs get installed but nothing
happens when the user tries to launch messenger.

Regards,

Hugo Monteiro.

Here's what I use:

:: install Mail, Messenger and Silverlight from Microsoft Live Essentials
todo.pl "start /wait %Z%\packages\winlive\wlsetup-all.exe /q /log:%SYSTEMDRIVE%\netinst\logs\winlive.txt /NOTOOLBAR /NOHOMEPAGE /NOLAUNCH /NOSEARCH /NOCEIP /Appselect:Mail,Messenger,Silverlight"

You need the offline installer, from here:

Unfortunately that's version will not run under XP SP3, which is what
i'm using. Complains about not being a valid win32 application. You
wouldn't happen to know which is the latest XP compatible version of
wlsetup-all.exe, and where can i find it..?

Regards,

Hugo Monteiro.

Oh, sorry, I only use unattended for building Win7 machines, so wasn't aware that MS had stopped supporting XP for live messenger.
